NEMENWEN TOWN, PLOE CHIEFDOM.

Traditional leadership in Nemenwen Town is calling on the Liberia Land Authority (LLA) and local government officials to take immediate action as a boundary dispute between the Ploe and Gbazon communities threatens local stability.

Elder Henry G. Gbarwea, a prominent leader in the area, has clarified the community’s stance following rising tensions. At the heart of the matter is the historical boundary at Warnee.

Contrary to recent claims suggesting a nearby hill marks the divide, Elder Gbarwea asserts that historical records and tradition firmly place the boundary at the Warnee area.

The Elder explained that the friction originated from a gesture of goodwill:

* The Ploe people granted farming rights to an individual identified as Sohn from the Gbazon community.

* What began as a neighborly favor has reportedly evolved into an encroachment on ancestral land.

The leadership of Nemenwen Town is moving beyond verbal negotiations. To ensure a peaceful and permanent resolution, the Ploe community is formally requesting:

* Immediate Government Intervention: Direct involvement from Local Government Authorities.

* LLA Deployment: The physical presence of the Liberia Land Authority at the site.

* GPS Demarcation: A professional land survey using modern GPS technology to clearly define and cement historical boundaries.

“We want the Land Authority to bring their GPS so this land business can be over,” Elder Gbarwea told journalists.
