UL Board of Trustees Appeals to Faculty to End Go-Slow

Monrovia, September 1, 2025 — The opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) has strongly denied allegations that firearms were discovered at the site of its former headquarters during demolition works.

CDC National Chairman Janga Kowo said the reports are false and politically motivated. He cited inventory documents from the sheriff’s office, which, according to him, confirmed that no weapons were found during an official inspection of the premises prior to the demolition.

“This lawless government can lie,” Chairman Kowo asserted, dismissing the allegations as part of what he described as a smear campaign against the party.

The claims surfaced earlier this week after unverified reports circulated suggesting that guns had been uncovered at the facility. However, the CDC maintains that its relocation process was transparent and fully documented.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
