The United Bong County Association in the Americas (UBCAA) has congratulated Senator Prince K. Moye on his re-election as Chairman of the Bong County Legislative Caucus, along with other members of the caucus leadership.
In an official communication, UBCAA reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the caucus to advance a coordinated and results-driven development agenda for Bong County.
The organization emphasized that sustainable development can best be achieved through strong partnerships between the diaspora and local leadership. According to UBCAA, such cooperation helps promote transparency, accountability, and long-term development that directly benefits communities across the county.
As part of this partnership, UBCAA expressed appreciation to the caucus for its financial pledge and continued support toward the Totota Youth Empowerment and Digital Skills Development Center. The association disclosed that Phase One of the project has already been completed, while Phase Two is currently underway.
Upon completion, the center is expected to serve as a major hub for digital skills training, career development, and empowerment for youth, women, and other vulnerable groups in lower Bong County.
Meanwhile, UBCAA revealed plans for a US$1 million Multi-Purpose Innovation Hub to be developed in collaboration with county leadership. The proposed project aims to promote entrepreneurship, technology, sports, and leadership development while also supporting local businesses. Discussions regarding the location of the project are ongoing, with an international launch expected later this year.
The association also addressed the January 18 chemical spill incident involving MNG Gold Liberia in Money Sweet Town, reiterating its commitment to transparency and accountability. UBCAA stated that while it acknowledges the report released by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), it has commissioned an independent verification process following concerns raised by residents of the affected community. The findings of the assessment will be made public once the investigation is completed.
UBCAA further highlighted the impact of its Free Computer Literacy Program, which has graduated more than 700 participants. The organization noted that the most recent enrollment drive received over 507 applications for Cohort VI, reflecting the growing demand for digital and technical skills among young people in the county.
In addition, the association pointed to the role of the Bong Diaspora Business Investment Group (BDBIG), an initiative aimed at transforming diaspora engagement into structured investments that can support job creation, private-sector growth, and economic development in Bong County.
Speaking in the communication, UBCAA National President Caimon Joe Gbamokollie reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to partnership and development.
“Our partnership is grounded in a shared vision for a transparent and accountable Bong County. We believe leadership is measured by the strength of the systems we build and the tangible impact delivered to our people,” he stated.
UBCAA concluded by reaffirming its dedication to working closely with the Bong County Legislative Caucus and other stakeholders to expand opportunities and promote sustainable development for the people of Bong County.
