The National Chairman of the National Patriotic Party (NPP), George Mulbah, has strongly rejected the decision by the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) to expel Representative Samson Wiah.
The CDC recently announced the expulsion of three of its members Senator Zoe Pennue, Cllr. Kanio Bai Gbala, and Representative Samson Wiah citing alleged disloyalty and violations of provisions within the party’s constitution.

However, in a statement issued through a Facebook post, Mulbah argued that the CDC’s response to the NPP’s earlier withdrawal letter indicates that CDC Chairman Atty. Janga Kowo no longer holds authority over Representative Wiah.
Mulbah explained that Representative Wiah previously used the coalition banner because it represented the three political parties that formed the alliance at the time, with the NPP symbolized by the “Paperbird” emblem.

Referencing a communication dated June 24, 2024, Mulbah maintained that the letter from Atty. Kowo effectively ended the CDC Chairman’s control over Wiah’s political actions and decisions within the former coalition arrangement.
The NPP Chairman further emphasized that the disagreement over Representative Wiah’s status reflects broader tensions regarding party authority and representation following the collapse of the coalition.

Mulbah has meanwhile challenged Atty. Janga Kowo to a public debate focused specifically on the circumstances surrounding Representative Wiah’s expulsion, calling for transparency and accountability in the ongoing political dispute.
