Monrovia, Liberia — The Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) has extended warm greetings to Muslims across Liberia and around the world as they mark the climax of the 2026 Ramadan, urging unity, reflection, and renewed commitment to national development.
In an official statement released from its national headquarters in Paynesville, the political institution congratulated the Muslim community for what it described as a peaceful and devoted observance of the holy month.
The message, delivered on behalf of the party’s Political Leader and Standard Bearer, Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., along with the National Executive Committee, expressed appreciation to Muslims for their month-long prayers, fasting, and spiritual dedication.
“MOVEE extends profound greetings and congratulations to all Muslims for peacefully observing the Holy Month of Ramadan with unwavering devotion and piety,” the statement read.
The institution noted that the period of Ramadan serves as a time of deep reflection, discipline, and spiritual renewal — values it believes are critical not only to individual growth but also to national progress.
According to the release, the party recognizes the importance of the prayers offered by Muslims during the holy month, especially at a time when Liberia faces economic and social challenges. It emphasized that such prayers for peace, unity, and prosperity are vital for the country’s stability and forward movement.
“In these challenging times, we welcome the prayers and sacrifices made for the peace and prosperity of our nation,” the statement added.
MOVEE further called on Liberians to embrace the spirit of togetherness and continue to seek divine guidance in building a stronger and more united country. The party expressed hope that the blessings derived from Ramadan would inspire collective responsibility and a renewed commitment to national unity.
Describing Ramadan as a period of sober reflection, the institution urged citizens to remain steadfast in their faith and dedication to the common good.
The statement concluded with a message of goodwill to the Muslim community, wishing them a joyous Eid al-Fitr celebration and encouraging continued prayers for Liberia’s peace and development.
“Happy Eid Mubarak to all Muslims,” the statement concluded.
The release was signed by the party’s National Secretary General, Jeremiah Edison Paye, and approved by National Chairman Prince G. Mehn.
