Monrovia, Liberia — Tensions are rising among religious leaders in Liberia following a public dispute over what has been described as the “001 Clean” issue, as prominent pastors exchange sharp words and bold challenges.

Liberian Prophet Fulfillment Batti, speaking during a recent church service, openly called on the Government of Liberia to organize a nationwide public program focused on healing and prophecy. According to Prophet Batti, such an open event would help distinguish what he described as genuine prophets from false ones operating in the country.

In his address to the congregation, Prophet Batti challenged all Liberian prophets to participate in what he termed an “open prophecy and healing battle,” insisting that public demonstrations of spiritual power would bring clarity to the growing controversy surrounding prophetic ministries in Liberia.

“The people deserve to know who is real and who is fake,” he reportedly told worshippers, adding that transparency in spiritual leadership is necessary for national moral growth.

Meanwhile, the debate intensified on social media when Liberian Apostle Ben Greatness shared a cryptic but pointed message on Facebook,

“A cockroach that accidentally enters a pot of torborgee soup will be mistaken for a crayfish.”

Though Apostle Ben Greatness did not mention any names, many social media users interpreted the statement as a response to the ongoing prophetic dispute, sparking widespread reactions, debates, and speculation online.

The public exchange has divided opinions among Christians and religious observers across the country. While some supporters applaud the call for accountability among spiritual leaders, others have urged calm, warning that public confrontations could deepen divisions within the Christian community.

As the controversy continues to trend both in churches and online, many Liberians are watching closely to see whether government authorities, religious councils, or interfaith bodies will intervene.
