A Gang of Thieves and State Looters! 21.8 million in the Name of a Single Individual???

Yesterday, I revealed how the Unity Party regime has been siphoning public funds through three state institutions the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), the Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWSC), and the Liberia Petroleum Refining Company (LPRC) to bankroll a politically staged “December 6 Mobilization Program.”

Over 1.3 million U.S. dollars has already been disbursed under this deceptive showmanship project while our nation sinks deeper into unemployment, unbearable economic hardship, and unfulfilled promises. President Boakai vowed to increase civil servants’ salaries, yet teachers, nurses, and security officers continue to live on crumbs, struggling to feed their families as the cost of living suffocates the poor.

Today, I add another piece of evidence to this puzzle of corruption a check from the LACC itself, issued for 21.8 million Liberian dollars to a single individual. Imagine that: the very body created to fight corruption is caught in the act of aiding it! Instead of mustering the courage to investigate the mysterious $10-million Presidential Villa rising in Foya, the hometown of Mr. Boakai, the LACC has chosen to hurriedly issue a defensive press release attacking me for daring to expose the truth.

If the Commission can find the energy to defend power but not the integrity of the Liberian people, then it has already failed its mandate. What justification exists for building a luxury palace in Foya while hospitals lack basic drugs, schools lack desks, and public workers await salary arrears?

This is not governance; it is a government consumed by pageantry and political theater while the people starve. They have abandoned leadership for luxury, stewardship for self-interest. But no regime built on deceit has ever survived the truth and this one will be no exception.

To the young people of Liberia: stay awake, stay courageous, and stay hopeful. We have survived the 27-year Tubman era, the scars of dictatorship, and decades of deception. This too shall pass. The deficit of incumbency will always conquer the false power of incumbency.

Why all of a sudden just on the heels of a UP December 6 rally individuals are receiving such huge chunks of money here and there!

The truth cannot be silenced. The nation will rise again.
