Liberian Politics

A MESSAGE OF HOPE, RECONCILIATION, AND RENEWED COMMITMENT TO THE NATIONAL PATRIOTIC PARTY

First Sunday of June 2026

Fellow Patriots, Distinguished Elders, Partisans, and Supporters of the National Patriotic Party:

As we gather in spirit on this first Sunday of June, a day traditionally associated with worship, reflection, forgiveness, and renewal, I extend warm greetings to every member of our great party both at home and abroad.

For more than a decade, our beloved National Patriotic Party has endured seasons of internal conflict, division, misunderstanding, and disappointment. These challenges have tested our resilience and, at times, threatened the very unity that once made our party a formidable force in Liberian politics.

Yet, through it all, the NPP has endured.

Today, after a series of sincere engagements and consultations with our respected party elders and stakeholders, we have collectively agreed that the time has come to turn a new page.

The future of our party is far more important than the disagreements of the past.

The hopes of our members are greater than our differences. The responsibility we carry to preserve and strengthen the NPP for future generations demands that we choose reconciliation over resentment, unity over division, and progress over stagnation.

This moment is not about winners and losers. It is about Patriots coming together to rebuild trust, restore confidence, and reposition our party for a stronger future.

As we embark upon this new chapter, I call upon every member to embrace the spirit of forgiveness. Let us release old grievances, extend grace to one another, and recognize that every great institution experiences challenges.

But what defines its future is not the conflicts it has faced, but its willingness to rise above them.

The NPP was built upon sacrifice, commitment, and the belief that Liberians deserve a better future. Those ideals remain as relevant today as they were at our founding.

We owe it to our founders, our elders, our youth, our women, and our loyal supporters to ensure that the party emerges from this period stronger, more united, and better prepared for the challenges ahead.

Let us therefore move forward with renewed purpose:

United in vision;

United in leadership;

United in service to our members;

United in our commitment to Liberia.

May this first Sunday in June mark not merely another day on the calendar, but the beginning of a genuine reconciliation process and a renewed march toward peace, unity, and progress within our party.

The road ahead may not always be easy, but together we can achieve far more than we ever could apart.

Let us close ranks. Let us rebuild together. Let us move forward together.

May God bless the National Patriotic Party, and may God bless the Republic of Liberia.
