The so-called “budget of hope” is in fact a declaration of war against the Liberian people. Senator Amara Konneh’s analysis unmasks the grim reality Mr. Boakai is dragging this country into a full-blown national crisis through deliberate fiscal deceit and reckless mismanagement.

Millions meant for schools, hospitals, sanitation, and farmers have vanished into the shadows of corruption. The Executive Mansion receives money it didn’t earn, Roberts International Airport is starved while its $2 million allocation disappears, and the Monrovia City Corporation’s sanitation funds are diverted to fuel patronage and waste. Even youth programs overspend beyond legal limits while our children sit jobless and hungry.

This is not leadership it’s betrayal! Boakai’s Unity Gang has turned the national budget into a political weapon, designed to enrich loyalists while the nation sinks. The Legislature’s hasty approval of a $256 million “General Government” fund without oversight is an accomplice act in this economic crime.

If the Senate fails to stop this madness, Liberia will descend into deeper poverty, instability, and chaos. The signs are already visible the system is collapsing under the weight of greed and deceit.

Mr. Boakai is not governing, he is gambling with the nation’s survival.
