Tony Watson Calls for Greater Female Leadership in Bong County Steering Committee
Gbarnga, Bong County – The Chief Executive Officer of Bong Absover Online Platform, Mr. Tony Watson, has called on citizens and stakeholders of Bong County to consider giving women greater opportunities to lead the county’s Steering Committee.
According to Mr. Watson, leadership positions within the Steering Committee have traditionally been dominated by men over the years. While acknowledging the contributions and dedication of past leaders, he believes the county may benefit from a fresh approach and new perspectives.
Mr. Watson noted that Bong County is home to many intelligent, hardworking, and capable women who have consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills in community development, event planning, project management, and team coordination. He emphasized that these qualities make them well-qualified to serve in key leadership positions.
He further stated that allowing a competent woman to serve as Chairperson or Head of the Steering Committee could bring new energy, innovative ideas, and a different style of leadership that may contribute to the success of county activities and programs.
“This is not about choosing a leader simply because she is a woman,” Mr. Watson explained. “It is about recognizing the talent, experience, and abilities that many women in our county already possess and giving them a fair opportunity to serve.”
The Bong Absover CEO encouraged citizens to embrace inclusiveness and support qualified women who are willing and prepared to lead. He believes that doing so could strengthen the county’s development efforts and help achieve better results during this year’s county gathering and beyond.
Mr. Watson concluded by urging residents to work together in promoting capable leadership regardless of gender, while ensuring that qualified women are given the opportunity to contribute at the highest levels of county decision-making.
