Thomas Taylor, a businessman in Gbarnga, has threatened to take the Bong County authorities to court over an alleged outstanding balance of USD 3,554
Reports indicate that since the administration of Mr. Jonah Nulee Togbah I as Chairman of the Bong County Sports Steering Committee in 2021, the County has allegedly owed Taylor for materials he supplied.
Recently, Bong County authorities issued a public notice requesting all individuals and businesses owed by the County through its sports activities to submit supporting documents to Mr. Alpina Clay Thomas Taylor reportedly complied with the request.
Following the submission, the County is said to have asked Mr. Tokpah to verify the documents presented by Taylor through an official communication, which was reportedly done by Mr. Jonah Togbah.
After the verification process, reports claim that Silas Tokpa was instructed to process payment to Thomas Taylor, but he has allegedly failed to carry out the directive.
As of now, Thomas Taylor, popularly known as “T Boy,” has reportedly hired a lawyer in preparation for legal action.
If the case proceeds, it would be the second time Bong County authorities face court action over football-related matters.
The first case involved a group of football technicians who sued the County over unpaid debts, with the court reportedly ordering Bong County authorities to settle the payment.
