Today, I voted against the Orantos deal because I believe it is a bad agreement that does not serve the best interests of the country. In contrast, I voted in favor of the HPX and TotalEnergies deals, which I believe offer greater value and align more closely with national development priorities.

Although I left during the passage of the 2026 National Budget due to an urgent family emergency, I strongly oppose the budget. My opposition is based on unresolved concerns and critical issues, including the increment in civil servants’ salaries and the salaries of Capitol Building employees, which the relevant committee failed or refused to adequately address despite repeated engagements.

Furthermore, despite the budget increasing to US$1.2 billion, these concerns remain unaddressed, making the budget unacceptable in its current form.
