President Boakai Returns Home After Africa Forward Summit in Kenya
President Joseph Nyuma Boakai return to Liberia today following what officials described as a successful participation in the 2026 Africa Forward Summit held in Nairobi.
The high-level summit brought together African Heads of State, policymakers, development partners, and international stakeholders to deliberate on key continental issues, including industrialization, sustainable financing, climate resilience, and regional peace and security.
During the summit, President Boakai reportedly engaged in several bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening Liberia’s diplomatic and economic relations with international partners. Discussions also focused on attracting foreign investment and advancing Liberia’s national development agenda.
The Liberian leader used the occasion to highlight opportunities for economic growth and cooperation, while reaffirming Liberia’s commitment to regional stability and sustainable development across Africa.
President Boakai and members of his delegation have arrive in Monrovia later this evening.
The Africa Forward Summit is regarded as one of the continent’s major policy and investment gatherings, bringing together leaders to address pressing economic and governance challenges facing Africa.
