President Boakai Announces New Appointments at LBS, Tourism Authority and LBDI
MONROVIA, LIBERIA –
President Joseph Boakai has made additional nominations and appointments affecting several key government institutions as part of efforts aimed at strengthening public sector leadership and improving service delivery across Liberia.
The latest appointments, announced Wednesday by the Executive Mansion, impact the Liberia Broadcasting System (LBS), the Liberia National Tourism Authority (LNTA), and the Liberian Bank for Development and Investment (LBDI).
According to the Executive Mansion, the nominations — where applicable — remain subject to confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
New Appointments at LBS
At the Liberia Broadcasting System, President Boakai nominated Alexandra Amnon as Deputy Director General for Administration.
She replaces Kiadiatu Konteh-Brohiri, who the Mansion said has been slated for reassignment within the public service.
The President also appointed J. Patrick Okai as Deputy Director General for Public Affairs at LBS.
Tourism Authority Gets New Leadership
At the Liberia National Tourism Authority, Jani Kadiyatu Kollie was appointed Deputy Director General for Marketing and Promotions, while Steveson Tweh Seidi was named Deputy Director General for Culture and Heritage.
Officials say the appointments are intended to support ongoing efforts to promote Liberia’s tourism potential and preserve the country’s cultural identity.
Appointment at LBDI
Meanwhile, President Boakai also appointed Joseph J. Tolbert Sr. as a member of the Board of Directors of the Liberian Bank for Development and Investment.
The President urged all newly appointed officials to serve with professionalism, integrity, and commitment to national development.
The latest appointments form part of the Boakai administration’s broader effort to reorganize and strengthen public institutions as government continues to push reforms aimed at improving governance and institutional effectiveness across the country.
