Ambassador Yin introduced China’s relevant experience in solving the issues related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers and China’s support for Liberian agriculture in recent years, emphasizing that China is willing to continue to strengthen agricultural cooperation with Liberia. He also introduced China’s non-zero tariff policy and the relevant contents of the “15th Five-Year Plan”, hoping that Liberia would seize the opportunity of China’s mega market to boost domestic agricultural development.

President Boakai said, agriculture is the foundation of national food security, economic independence, and national transformation, emphasized the importance of food self-sufficiency and national dignity, focused on advancing agriculture from subsistence to profitability, and encouraged the youth to view agriculture as a modern, dynamic sector—working together to drive the development of Liberia’s agricultural industry.
