Monrovia’s public transportation network is set for a major boost as two long-dormant bus routes—Route 107 (New Georgia Estate–Broad Street) and Route 108 (Barnersville Estate–Broad Street)—resume full operations beginning today, November 19, 2025.
The reactivation comes more than five years after both routes were suspended, leaving thousands of daily commuters without direct service to central Monrovia.
In a post issued on the National Transit Authority website, the restored routes are part of a broader nationwide rollout of the city’s new bus fleet.
Commuters across Monrovia and surrounding communities can also expect additional buses deployed on all existing routes, aimed at reducing congestion and improving reliability during peak hours.
Officials are urging passengers to treat the upgraded services with care and to work cooperatively with bus crews to ensure safe, and orderly transit.
The reactivation marks a significant step toward strengthening urban mobility, easing travel pressures, and enhancing daily commutes for thousands across the capital.
