Monrovia City Court Issues Arrest Writ for Dr. Vicky Gray Over Alleged Assault at Sinkor Cigar Bar
The Monrovia City Court has ordered the arrest of Dr. Vicky Gray and several other unidentified individuals in connection with an alleged assault that reportedly left three men injured during an incident at the Cigar Bar on 19th Street, Sinkor.
The complaint was filed by Stephen Weah, Joseph C. Weah Jr., and Emmanuel Buno, who accused the defendants of aggravated assault, simple assault, menacing, criminal conspiracy, and disorderly conduct. The alleged incident reportedly occurred during the early morning hours of June 21, 2026.
According to court documents under case number MONT/MCC/CRC/885/2026, the court instructed Magistrate Police Captain Augustine T. Forleh and his deputies to arrest the accused and bring them before the Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice to answer to the allegations.
In their complaint, the private prosecutors alleged that a disagreement at the popular entertainment venue escalated into violence. They claimed that the defendants used abusive and profane language before allegedly attacking and beating them.
The complainants further alleged that the accused acted together and intentionally inflicted bodily injuries on them using objects and other means they could not identify.
Court records state that the three men suffered bruises, scratches, wounds, and other injuries that required medical treatment and hospitalization, including treatment for eye injuries.
The complaint alleges that the defendants violated Sections 14.20, 14.21, 14.25, 17.3, and 10.4 of the Revised Penal Law of Liberia.
The writ of arrest was issued on June 23, 2026. However, as of press time, authorities had not announced whether any of the accused had been taken into custody.
The allegations contained in the complaint are claims made by the complainants and have not been proven in court. Under Liberian law, all accused persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
