Margibi County Security Council Gowns and Honors LDEA Interim Leadership for Exceptional Fight Against Illicit Drugs

In a remarkable show of appreciation and confidence, the Margibi County Security Council has proudly gown and honored the Interim Leadership of the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) for their outstanding commitment and extraordinary efforts in the fight against illicit drugs across Margibi County and Liberia as a whole.
The colorful ceremony brought together traditional leaders, religious leaders, security stakeholders, and eminent citizens of Margibi County who gathered to celebrate what many described as a “bold and fearless leadership” that has intensified the war against illegal drugs.
Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Director for Operations of the LDEA, ACP Patrick B. Kormazu, widely recognized for his strong operational leadership, along with the Deputy Director for Administration/Investigation, Ernest T. Tarpeh.
Speaking during the program, citizens of Margibi County showered praises on the Interim Leadership, especially ACP Kormazu, for leading from the front as Operations Director and championing aggressive anti-drug operations that continue to protect communities and restore hope to the people.
Many speakers described the current leadership as a “result-driven team” whose tireless work has significantly strengthened Liberia’s fight against drug trafficking and abuse. According to them, the LDEA under the interim leadership has demonstrated courage, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to safeguarding the future of the nation.
Meanwhile, traditional leaders, religious leaders, and eminent citizens used the occasion to make a passionate appeal to the President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai Sr., to grant an official appointment to the Acting Leadership of the LDEA.
They emphasized that the Interim Leadership has performed far beyond the expectations of citizens, delivering results that have placed Liberia firmly on the map in the global fight against illegal drugs.
The citizens reaffirmed their strong support and partnership with the LDEA, describing the agency’s leadership as a shining example of dedication, patriotism, and service to the Liberian people.
