LTA Chairman Hon Massaquoi Allocates Scholarships, Supports Muslim Community in Voinjama District.
Voinjama District, Lofa County, Liberia – May 2, 2026 _ The Chairman of the Liberia Telecommunication Authority (LTA), Hon. Clarence K. Massaquoi, has announced a series of major initiatives aimed at supporting Muslim students and communities in Voinjama District
During a Muslim stakeholders’ engagement, Hon. Massaquoi revealed that 30 scholarships have been allocated to Muslim students in Voinjama District attending Lofa County University. The initiative is intended to improve access to higher education and empower young people within the Muslim community.
In addition to the scholarships, the LTA Chairman promised to sponsor two individuals—one male and one female—to travel to Mecca for pilgrimage. He also donated 60,000 Liberian Dollars to assist with transportation for community members and pledged further support for Muslim women across Voinjama District.
Hon. Massaquoi emphasized that these efforts align with the broader vision of inclusive governance under the leadership of President Joseph N Boakai. He noted that the engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to reconnect the Executive Branch of Government with citizens across the country.
The gathering brought together Muslim scholars representing 22 mosques throughout Voinjama District. The meeting provided a platform for participants to discuss key challenges affecting their communities and explore pathways for development.
Participants described the engagement as productive and commended Hon. Massaquoi for what they termed “responsive and inclusive leadership.” They expressed appreciation for his continued support to the Muslim community and offered prayers for his success.
At the same time, Muslim scholars acknowledged the efforts of President Boakai in promoting inclusiveness and supporting Muslim communities across Liberia.
