Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia National Police (LNP), through the Office of the

Deputy Inspector General for Manpower Development and Training, Hon. Sadatu Reeves, provides an official update on the status of LNP Class–47 at the LNP Academy Training School.

LNP Class 47 commenced training on November 22, 2025, with eighty-one (81) recruits.

The class currently stands at seventy-nine (79) recruits, comprising forty-six (46) males (58%) and thirty-three (33) females (42%), following the dismissal of two (2) recruits, one for academic fraud and another for an act of indiscipline, consistent with the Academy’s zero-tolerance policy on misconduct.

The Liberia National Police is proud to announce that LNP Class 47 has successfully completed all academy training requirements and has now been enrolled into the Field Training Program, which runs from February 23 to May 15, 2026. Graduation is projected for May 29, 2026.

Notably, Class–47 represents a historic milestone, as it is the first LNP class in post-war Liberia to complete full firearms qualification during basic recruit training, with performance results exceeding expectations.

Most significantly, all members of LNP Class–47 are college graduates, representing diverse academic disciplines including Criminal Justice, Nursing, Public Administration, Public Health, and other related fields. This reflects the LNP’s ongoing commitment to professionalism and capacity building within its ranks.

During the field training phase, recruits will also undergo structured motorcycle and vehicle driving training to enhance their operational readiness, mobility, and overall effectiveness in the discharge of their duties.
