Liberia National Police Delegation Participates in Rwanda National Police 25th Anniversary and Special Forces Graduation Ceremony
(May 27,2026, Kigali, Rwanda ) The Inspector General of the Liberia National Police, accompanied by a high-level delegation, is currently in Kigali, Republic of Rwanda, participating in activities commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Rwanda National Police and the graduation ceremony of Special Forces trainees, including twenty (20) officers of the Liberia National Police scheduled to graduate tomorrow.
The visit reflects the deepening bilateral cooperation and enduring security partnership between the Republic of Liberia and the Republic of Rwanda, particularly in the areas of professional policing, specialized tactical training, intelligence sharing, institutional development, and regional security collaboration.
As part of the official engagements, the Inspector General was honored to hold a bilateral meeting with His Excellency Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda. During the meeting, the Inspector General conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, President of the Republic of Liberia, and the Liberian people.
Consistent with diplomatic and security protocols governing high-level engagements, details of the discussions remain confidential.
The graduation of twenty (20) Liberia National Police officers from the Special Forces training program represents another important milestone in the LNP’s ongoing reform and modernization efforts aimed at improving operational effectiveness, command readiness, public safety response capabilities, and service delivery to the Liberian people.
