Gbarnga, Bong County – March 6, 2026 — The Administrator of C.B. Dunbar Comprehensive Hospital, Enoch Kermue Darwolo Morris Sr., has praised Liberia’s Minister of Health, Louise M. Kpoto, for what he described as her strong leadership and commitment to improving healthcare services across the country.
Speaking on Friday, March 6, 2026, Mr. Morris said Dr. Kpoto has demonstrated exceptional dedication since taking over the Ministry of Health (Liberia), rating her performance at “100 percent.” According to him, the minister has been working diligently to advance the government’s health sector priorities under the ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development.
Mr. Morris noted that under Dr. Kpoto’s leadership, several government-run hospitals are witnessing steady improvements in infrastructure and medical services, including C.B. Dunbar Comprehensive Hospital in Gbarnga.
“For many years, the hospital compound faced serious challenges, including poor conditions and political interference,” he explained. “But today, we are seeing significant transformation, and the facility is gradually becoming a model for quality healthcare in Bong County.”
The hospital administrator emphasized that the progress being made at the facility is already having a positive impact on patients and healthcare workers. He said improvements to the hospital environment and services are helping restore confidence among residents who rely on the facility for medical care.
As part of the ongoing improvements, Mr. Morris disclosed that the hospital has recently introduced an X-ray machine to enhance diagnostic services. In addition, the laboratory department now provides Complete Blood Count (CBC) testing, which plays a critical role in identifying infections, anemia, and other medical conditions.
“These services are very important because they allow our doctors and clinicians to diagnose illnesses more accurately and provide the right treatment for patients,” he said.
Mr. Morris added that the upgrades are part of broader efforts by the Ministry of Health to strengthen healthcare delivery, particularly in rural counties where access to advanced medical services has often been limited.
For many residents of Bong County and surrounding areas, the improvements at C.B. Dunbar Comprehensive Hospital represent renewed hope for better healthcare. With expanded diagnostic services and ongoing support from the Ministry of Health, the facility is gradually moving toward providing more modern and reliable medical care for the growing population it serves.
Mr. Morris made the remarks while highlighting the hospital’s recent progress and acknowledging the continued support the facility receives from the Ministry of Health in its mission to improve healthcare delivery in Bong County.
