Gray Launches Scathing Attack on Miatta Fahnbulleh, Accuses Political Elite of Failing Liberia
Monrovia – Former District #8 Representative Acarous Moses Gray has launched a blistering attack against former presidential candidate Miatta Fahnbulleh, accusing her of making “reckless” public statements while criticizing what he described as Liberia’s long-standing political elite for decades of poor governance and underdevelopment.
In a strongly worded statement, Gray alleged that Fahnbulleh’s recent comments reflected what he called “reckless gibberish,” while also making personal accusations against her and her family.
Gray further argued that Liberia’s traditional political establishment has long operated under the belief that political power belongs to a privileged class rather than the broader population.
According to him, despite possessing the expertise to formulate national budgets, successive members of the political elite failed to translate policy into meaningful national development.
He contended that the country’s ruling class fostered elitism, created social and political divisions, and concentrated opportunities within a small circle of influential families.
Gray claimed this governance model contributed to economic inequality, political exclusion, and widespread public dissatisfaction.
“The political class governed Liberia for so many years and we are still dangerously underdeveloped,” Gray asserted, adding that Liberia’s electoral history demonstrates that Fahnbulleh and members of her family have struggled to gain broad electoral support.
Gray also shifted attention to Liberia’s ongoing battle against drug trafficking, urging Fahnbulleh to focus on what he described as the country’s growing cocaine crisis rather than engaging in political commentary.
He concluded his remarks with additional personal allegations concerning Fahnbulleh’s son, though he offered no evidence to substantiate those claims.
As of press time, Miatta Fahnbulleh had not publicly responded to Gray’s comments.
