Freeman Calls Boakai a ‘Drug Peddler,’ Demands Answers on US$19.21 Million Drug Case

Monrovia – Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) Political Leader Simeon Freeman has strongly criticized President Joseph Nyuma Boakai over the government’s handling of the ongoing US$19.21 million drug case. Freeman accused the President of failing to provide answers to Liberians about one of the country’s biggest narcotics investigations. “Boakai is a drug peddler. Only a drug peddler can ignore such a huge drug case that has captured the attention of the entire nation,” Freeman said.

Freeman also questioned the President’s priorities, saying, “How can a serious country have a president who frequents nightclubs while citizens remain confused about the origins of US$19.21 million worth of drugs in Liberia?” He argued that the government’s silence has weakened public confidence and said Liberians deserve transparency and accountability over the case.

The US$19.21 million drug seizure remains one of Liberia’s largest narcotics investigations. Authorities have announced arrests and investigations, but many citizens continue to demand a full report on the origin of the drugs and those responsible.
