Cummings Joins Africa’s Top Leaders at 2026 Africa CEO Forum in Kigali
Alternative National Congress (ANC) Political Leader and 2029 presidential contender, Alexander B. Cummings, has joined several African heads of state, business executives, and global investors at the 2026 Africa CEO Forum currently underway in Kigali, Rwanda.
According to a statement issued by the ANC on May 13, the high-level forum is regarded as Africa’s leading private-sector gathering, bringing together more than 2,800 chief executives, policymakers, investors, and government officials from across the continent.
This year’s forum is being held under the theme: “Scale or Fail: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”
Among key African leaders and influential figures attending the summit are Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rwandan President Paul Kagame, and African business magnate Aliko Dangote.
The Alternative National Congress (ANC) described Cummings’ participation as significant, noting that his presence places Liberia at the center of important conversations shaping Africa’s investment and economic future.
Speaking during the event, Cummings said the Africa CEO Forum serves as a major platform where critical decisions and discussions concerning the continent’s economic direction are made.
“The Africa CEO Forum is where the conversations that shape this continent’s investment agenda take place,” Cummings stated. “Being at the table with the leaders and decision-makers who are driving Africa’s economic future is important for Liberia.”
The ANC standard bearer highlighted the importance of Liberia engaging regional and international investors as the country seeks economic transformation and sustainable development.
Cummings, a former top executive of the Coca-Cola Company, brings decades of international business experience to the forum. Before retiring in 2016, he served as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Administrative Officer of Coca-Cola and previously headed Coca-Cola’s Africa operations.
He has also served on the boards of several international corporations and institutions, including S.C. Johnson and Chevron Corporation.
ANC noted that Cummings continues to build his political platform around accountability, investment reform, infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and agriculture.
