Cllr Moriah Yeakula writes amid MOH request for 4 million USD to combat EBOLA if confirmed

“At this point, if MOH wants 10 Million seh y’all find the money and give it to them. Prevention is better than cure. EBOLA is no joke and this new strand reportedly has no cure We can NOT afford another 2014.

Let’s not forget what we went through as a nation; how EJS had to send out an SOS call to the US; how we cremated bodies; how we quarantined entire communities; how we lost loved ones everyday like flies; how families are still traumatized.

Individually, get your hand washing buckets at your homes, schools, churches and mosques. Wash your hands regularly, stop hugging, follow MOH guidelines.

MFDP, please find the money. 4million oh, 10million oh, let’s find it. We know how to find money for the things we wanna fund. Plenty loose cash floating around in that billion dollar budget. Buying Ambulances da one small part, are the systems in place? Fund MOH/NPHIL and every other entity responsible for EBOLA preparedness. If they eat the money, prosecute them after but NO Liberian should die from Ebola because we didn’t provide the money requested for adequate preparedness.
