Centrism Movement Donates Rice to Black Jinna Mosque at End of Ramadan

MONROVIA, LIBERIA — In a gesture of solidarity and goodwill marking the close of Ramadan, the Women Directorate of the The Liberia Political Centrism Movement has donated 10 bags of rice to the Black Jinna Mosque.

The donation was made by representatives of the group, including Mrs. Baindu Kpaka Roberts and Madam Linda Teta Flomo, who serves as Deputy Head for Mobilization. The initiative, according to the women, is part of the movement’s ongoing efforts to identify with communities during significant religious observances.

Receiving the items on behalf of the mosque were Chief Imam Ishmael Sesay and Deputy Imam Dukuly. Both religious leaders expressed deep appreciation for the timely intervention, describing it as a meaningful contribution during a spiritually significant period for Muslims.

Chief Imam Sesay thanked the Centrism Movement for what he termed a “generous and thoughtful act,” noting that such support goes a long way in strengthening community bonds, especially at the end of Ramadan when acts of charity are highly encouraged.

For her part, Madam Flomo said the donation reflects the group’s commitment to promoting compassion and inclusiveness across communities, regardless of religious or social differences. She emphasized that Ramadan is a time of reflection, sacrifice, and giving values the movement seeks to uphold.

Mrs. Roberts also highlighted the importance of standing with religious institutions, noting that the Centrism Movement remains dedicated to initiatives that foster unity and shared humanity.

The donation underscores the organization’s broader mission of community engagement and social support, particularly during periods of spiritual significance.
