Monrovia, Liberia – The Chairman of the Congress for Democratic Change–Council of Patriots (CDC-COP), Foday N. Massaquoi, has launched a sharp critique of the current administration, declaring that Liberia is experiencing what he described as “a generalise failure of governance” under President Joseph Boakai and Vice President Jeremiah Koung administration.

According to the CDC-COP Chairman, the gathering in District #15 was not simply a political meeting but “a battlefield of ideas where facts confronted propaganda and reason dismantled distortion.”

Massaquoi told the audience that the country is “dying under the Boakai–Koung administration,” accusing the government of failing economically, politically and morally. He argued that the current state of governance has created fertile ground for a strong opposition resurgence ahead of the 2029 elections.

“This painful reality sends a clear signal across the political horizon,” he said. “An opposition comeback in 2029 is not only possible; it is alive and kicking.”

The CDC-COP leader further accused the administration of repeated constitutional violations and rising insecurity, sodomy, rapes, claiming that mysterious deaths have increased significantly in recent years. He also raised concerns about corruption, unemployment, and allegations of abuse within state institutions.

He concluded by warning that political opposition groups must remain vigilant in defending democratic processes in future elections.

“We cannot wait until election year while suffering is distributed like a national policy,” Massaquoi said. “The Liberian people are demanding urgent redemption from the current decadence, and together we will protect the state.”
